International Grammy and multi-Platinum singer, songwriter and musician, Boz Scaggs, brings Memphis and his hits to the State Theatre Sydney on Saturday 12 April.
Boz is a distinctive vocalist, smooth guitarist and global hit maker with a repertoire of signature songs across the Pop, R&B, Jazz and Soul genres. He dominated the charts and airwaves in 1976 with the Grammy nominated and five-time Platinum album, Silk Degrees and introduced 4 singles including Lowdown (Grammy awarded Best R&B Song), Lido Shuffle, What Can I Say and We’re All Alone.
His explorations across the musical landscape have brought respect amongst his peers, a loyal following and produced a substantial catalogue of enduring songs –

Boz received a Grammy nomination for Come On Home, an album of R&B classics and debuted at #1 on the Billboard Jazz chart with But Beautiful, a compilation of standards.
On this tour, Boz performs from his catalogue and showcases his 17th album, Memphis, a retrospective celebration of family history and American Roots music, recorded with an all-star band (Keb ‘Mo’, Willie Weeks, Steve Jordan, Ray Parker Jr. and Spooner Oldham), at the landmark Royal Studio where countless Hi Records hits were crafted (Al Green, Tina Turner, Chuck Berry, Buddy Guy & others).
