Beccy Cole

Beccy Cole is best known for an amazing live show and bringing a crowd to fever pitch. An accomplished comedienne, Beccy can have an audience roaring with laughter at her wicked brand of humour.

Beccy is no stranger to the winner's podium after taking out 7 Golden Guitars and 2 Entertainer of the Year awards. Add to this her 3 Gold records and many other songwriting accolades and one begins to see why this performer has remained at the forefront of Australian Country Music.

Not content with being known for just her quirkiness, Beccy penned a heartfelt and honest song, Poster Girl, which swept all before it to take out a remarkable three Golden Guitars in 2007. Inspired by a trip to theMiddle East to Entertain Australian troops, Beccy continues to dedicate this work to those who have served the country, past and present.

In a career that began over 20 years ago as a teen singing in her Mum, Carole Sturtzel's band, “Wild Oats;” Beccy has toured with Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Tom T Hall, The Bellamy Brothers, Glenn Campbell and Don McClean.

She has performed with The Wiggles, been set in wax in a museum and sung to troops wearing a kevlar vest and high heels inBaghdad.

In 2000 Beccy was proud to sing for her Prime Minister yet controversially declined an invitation to sing for then American President, George W Bush in 2007.

Through tears, she sang "Poster Girl" as Diggers marched the MCG on ANZAC day 2007 in front of a crowd of 100,000.

After a 3 year stint playing to sell-out crowds with Gina Jeffreys and Sara Storer as “The Songbirds,” Beccy is now putting the finishing touches on songs for her 6th album, due for release in mid 2010. This album follows the huge success of her 2007 album, “Live @ Lizottes.”

Beccy also spends time on other music projects with singers Kate Ballantyne and Chris E Thomas called “The Sheila Sessions” as well as touring with long time friend and country music starAdam Harvey in “The Rematch Tour”.

Beccy Cole is the real deal. A divorced, working single mother who has always had the ability to laugh in the face of adversity, even better, she's been able to write songs about it and share them with the world. Beccy's energy and generosity is infectious, her honesty and lack of pretension, refreshing.
