Aleyce Simmonds

Having the most requested video clip on the Country Music Channel was quite a coup for the 2005 Telstra Road toTamworth winner, Aleyce Simmonds.

The clip of Aleyce's prize-winning single, Mighty Mighty Love, reached the coveted #1 spot on the CMC chart in October 2005, edging out American country heart-throb Gary Allan from the top spot.

Winning the prestigious nationwide talent search in January 2005 should have been a great indicator to Aleyce that she would travel far, but not even in her wildest dreams could she have imagined what doors would be opened to help launch her professional country music career.

As part of her prize package Aleyce enjoyed her first overseas plane flight toNashville,Tennessee, where she had the opportunity to taste the life of a singing star.

She signed autographs for long queues of fans, performed on stage with other international acts on the CMA Global Artist Party, co-wrote with songwriters on Music Row, and recorded her debut single, Mighty Mighty Love.

Aleyce has since performed at some very impressive gigs, not the least of which was singing the national anthem at the 2005 Caulfield Cup inMelbourne, where an estimated audience of 57,000 patriotic race-goers joined her in song.

While she's still very young, Aleyce is just starting out on her professional musical journey - and absolutely thriving on the invaluable experiences she's gaining along the way.
